Our Story

Hi, we're Carol and Diane Whitaker, sisters, best friends, and the two women behind Graceful Figure.

Twelve years ago, we stood in yet another store, holding yet another beautiful blouse that stopped at size 14. We looked at each other and said what we had both been thinking for years: "Why is it so hard to find nice clothes in our size?"

We are both plus size women. We know the feeling of walking into a boutique, falling in love with something, and walking out empty handed. We know what it's like to settle for plain, shapeless clothes just because they were the only thing that fit.

So we decided to do something about it. We opened Graceful Figure: a boutique made by full-figured women, for full-figured women.

Quality you can feel

We never wanted to sell "good enough." Every piece in our boutique is hand-selected by the two of us. We look for soft, breathable fabrics, careful stitching, and cuts that are made for real curves, not just a smaller design made bigger.

If we wouldn't wear it ourselves, you won't find it here.

Over the years, we've had the joy of dressing thousands of wonderful women across America. Some come to us for a special occasion. Others simply want to feel comfortable and beautiful on an ordinary Tuesday. Every one of them reminds us why we started.

Nothing makes us happier than a letter that says, "I finally feel like myself again."
